4-6 Combo– Ages 4-6. Focuses mainly on ballet, tap, and creative movements. Learn ballet positions and terms
Beginner Ballet– Ages 7-9 This class focuses on ballet terms, proper posture, turnout, arms and movement.
Intermediate Ballet-Ages 9-11 Class consists of learning secure turns, technique, awareness of body positions and movement
Advanced Ballet-Ages 12 & up Students will start on demi-pointe to help strengthen ankles and prepare for full pointe. Students must have completed Intermediate ballet or be evaluated by dance teacher for this class.
Tap I- Ages 7 & Up Class will focus on tap terms, timing, connecting steps, and performance
Tap II– Ages 9 & Up. Students must have had Tap I or have a good knowledge of tap terms. Will work on timing, terms, working on advanced steps
Adult Tap – Adult & Teens. Learn tap lingo, develop rhythm, beginners welcome, or no experience needed. Great class for exercise if you are looking for a way to stay fit. NO JUDGEMENT ZONE!
Advanced Tap– (by request) Teacher recommendation.
Jazz I– Ages 7 & Up Class focuses on Jazz movements and terms for beginners
Jazz II– Class is for those who have completed Jazz I. Learning advanced Jazz movements, and more complicated choreography.
2-3 Tumbling- Focuses on beginning tumbling skills. Teaches learning how to work in a class setting.
4-6 Tumbling– This class will teach the basic fundamentals of tumbling. Students in this class will work on basic progressions: forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, and backbends. Strength and flexibility will be instructed each class and staff will assist each student with hands-on spotting techniques to ensure proper body alignment and muscle memory.
7 and up beginner – Tumbling–Focuses on fundamental skills & will work on basics needed for beginner tumble for these ages if never taken a tumbling class. This class is geared for students who have mastered the basic tumbling skills and are ready to move on. The skills in this class are dive rolls, front walkovers, back walkovers and multiple cartwheels. This class will introduce front and back handsprings, round-off connections, and standing front and back walkover connections. Strength, conditioning, and flexibility will also be taught each class session. Student can move into this class if younger than age set by recommendation of instructor!
7-UP Intermediate Tumbling–This class is geared for students who have mastered the basic tumbling skills (beginner class) and are ready to move on. The skills in this class are front walkovers, back walkovers and multiple cartwheels back handsprings, standing tucks. Strength, conditioning, and
flexibility will also be taught each class session. Student can move into this class if younger than age set by recommendation of instructor!
9-UP Advanced Tumbling– or teacher recommendation. Students must be able to perform the skills in beginner and intermediate classes. In this level students will work on back handsprings, round-off connections, standing back handspring series, and back-walkover to back handspring connections, and power tumbling. Student can move into this class if younger than age set by recommendation of instructor!
Hip Hop I – 1st year students. Ages 6-up. This class will introduce young students to the basic vocabulary and style of Hip Hop movement. Movements in this class will be slower than most level Hip Hop classes.
Hip Hop II- 2nd Year Students +. This is a fun and up-beat class that integrates many different styles of hip-hop. Students will learn the trendiest moves that they see in the current pop culture. This high energy class can be taught to anyone with a passion to move, so no dance experience is required. This class will move a bit faster than Hip Hop level I
CHEER (USASF CERTIFIED)
Youth Cheer Ages 5-12 (Rising Royalty) All Cheer skills will be taught based on proper progressions for tumbling, stunting, motions, jumps, cheers & dances, in a safe and age-appropriate manner. This class will focus on the basics of cheer including Jumps, motions, and conditioning! Will be doing all-Star competitions. This class is for those who have joined or wanting to join the Crown Pointe Competition Cheer Team! Tumbling classes will be required! No previous experience required!
